ZOHFYE MOTION
During my time at Zohfye Motion I worked on finalizing the production model of the ARC Maker, which is the company's flagship product. Here some highlights from my term with the company:

SYSTEM VALIDATION
I led system verification efforts, deriving experiments and testing procedures to characterize the production model's precision and accuracy. The open source document describing the testing procedure and collected data can be found here: https://zohfye.com/pages/resources-arc-maker-test-results

COMPONENT DESIGN
I modified several designs from the original ARC Maker prototype, making improvements to function, form, manufacturability, and cost for the production model. I re-designed laser tube mounts, inductive sensor mounts, x-y calibration triggers, laser head enclosures, and many more components. I gained a lot of experience with sheet metal design over this period, as I modified a lot of existing designs to be made with sheet metal to reduce costs while retaining quality. I also designed steel sheet metal panels for the production model's electronics enclosure and modified existing panel designs for the main ARC Maker enclosure.

MANUFACTURING
I played a major role in fabricating the first batch of ARC Maker production models. I drafted several engineering drawings for different components and compiled order packages that were sent out to manufacturers overseas and in the Waterloo region. I developed jigs to easily assemble the extrusions that make up the frame of the ARC maker and electronics enclosure. I used hand tools to assemble panels onto the enclosure frame and attach brackets onto the ARC Maker's linear kit.
